This Day and Age

All We Thought We Could

Before The Reign of Kindo, they were This Day & Age.

It’s almost the same band—Jeff Martin is the frontman, and Kindo’s frontman Joey helms the bass here.

And might I say, I love Jeff (Kindo’s bassist), but damn the basslines on these albums are one of the best I’ve heard ever. They’re not particularly spectacular or anything, they’re just so right.

The improvement in their sound, from their first album to second (below) to third and final (featured) is massive. When you consider the switch to Kindo too, the trajectory is mindblowing.

I could only find their third and final album online. Spotify and YouTube only have that listed. Funny how considering just a few years ago they released their second album Always Leave the Ground on vinyl—even though every one of their fans requested the last album, The Bell and the Hammer instead.

Maybe we’ll get it one day. But until then, at least we’ve got the digitals.
