The Low Stars were a band made up of 4 incredibly talented musicians. One of them was Jude. The other was Dave Gibbs, of Gigolo Aunts.
The first time I ever heard of the band was through yet another TV show—What About Brian.
When I heard the intro I immediately knew that it was Jude singing it. The release of the album that included the song came almost a year later though, just as the show was–sadly–ending.
There are a couple of good songs, in the mellow common ground of a style they found amongst their individual expressions.
There’s also a Jude song redone by the whole band, which is a nice contrast to hear.
